Sustainable curriculum Global Goals region Eindhoven

"We only have one planet. We have nowhere else to go. If we use our creative powers properly we don't need anywhere else. If we take care of it, and each other, everything we need is right here.

- Sir Ken Robinson, Educator and Author of the World's Largest Lesson

International Volunteer Day

GLOBAL TOOL BOX FOR EMPLOYEES

Tuesday, December 5 is International Volunteer Day! Samen voor Eindhoven is part of Global Movement IMPACT2030.

IMPACT2030 has developed an online toolbox for giving guest lectures on the Sustainable Development Goals at schools. We would like to develop a sustainable regional programme for this together with partners. Who is participating?

Global Goals Toolbox for Employees is an open-source programme in many languages with useful online resources, such as workshop and learning materials, for employees who want to promote sustainable development, or the Global Goals, and change. The goals - set in 2015 by 193 world leaders - aim to combat extreme poverty, inequality and injustice and tackle climate change by the year 2030.

The Global Goals Toolbox for employees (#Employees4SDGs) includes:

1. Introducing the Global Goals A workshop that inspires employees on the role they can play in promoting the Global Goals in our region.
2. Global Goals teaching material for schools, developed in cooperation with 'The World Largest Lesson'. Company volunteers of Samen voor Eindhoven can use this to give an innovative workshop at schools in our region to get children acquainted with the Global Goals in an inspiring way.

Samen voor Eindhoven is currently in discussion with schools and a number of parties to set up a sustainable learning programme in which the guest lesson will be a part. Will you help us get the Global Goals on the minds of young people in our region? If so, we would like to invite you to join us on 16 January 2018 from 12 to 2 pm to discuss setting up a Global Goals teaching programme in the Eindhoven region. Register with Esther Hofstede
