Corporate Social Responsibility 040 dinner: Powerful Children

Every child deserves the same opportunities. But in practice there are big differences. Think of growing up safely, being able to participate, care and education and talent development. Children and young people are the future of our city. An organisation can make an important contribution to that. That was the theme of the 13th MO040 dinner. Watch here the beautiful match that the Salvation Army made at this evening.

Meaningful matches during the Corporate Social Responsibility 040 Powerful Children dinner

On Monday evening, June 11, 2018, during the Maatschappelijk Ondernemen 040 diner (MO 040 diner) again unexpected collaborations arose between Eindhoven companies and social institutions that would not meet in everyday life. For the first time, it was possible to digitally match prior to the dinner via a new online volunteer calendar. No less than 12 matches were made in advance, so that these parties were already at the start of the dinner each other's table companions and conversation partners. During the evening over 60 meaningful matches were made.

Compliment of the evening

The compliment for the most beautiful match of the evening went to 'The young people of the Zonnebloem': "Within five minutes I had already made the first two matches, said Vicky Teunissen. "Few people know that this initiative for physically disabled people aged between 18 and 50 exists and what it entails. We would like to get more name recognition, Licht will work on this later this year. We are also allowed to use the club house of Scouting Pres. F.D. Roosevelt, which is perfectly suitable for people with a physical disability. We will also go on a day trip with employees of DLL, super!"

The second compliment of the evening went to Trudo Weekendschool, Saltoschool De Driesprong and NXP. They will be working together on digital educational innovation under the heading "Educational Fantasies". Another great match was made between Heimdal Children's Service Centre and Simac, which will provide ICT support for the foundation's digiboards.

Various issues

During the MO 040 dinners, the business community and the social field look for new collaborations (matches) on the basis of concrete issues in the areas of communication, innovation and ICT, but volunteers are also needed for practical work or to accompany excursions. As usual, participants at the dinner exchange their experience, knowledge and network with each other, with no money changing hands.
