Financial contribution of €6,000 makes corona aid activities possible
The Oranje Fonds is contributing €6,000 to help enable new forms of coronaproof volunteering in Eindhoven. Coronacrisis is especially difficult for vulnerable people. Voluntary help is indispensable. Through the volunteer calendar Foundation Together for Eindhoven brings wishes of social organizations into focus and brings that together with the supply of volunteers. For years, Samen voor Eindhoven has been connecting companies and social organizations. But since the Covid-19 outbreak, Samen voor Eindhoven has made the volunteer calendar available to everyone who wants to do something for others. So now even more people, who desperately need it, can get help from volunteers.
Vitamin A(attention) at a distance
With the contribution from the Oranje Fonds, Samen voor Eindhoven has, among other things, set up new forms to strengthen volunteering in corona time. Micro-volunteering which one can do in a short time, online volunteering and coronaproof volunteering with the corresponding corona protocols so that the volunteering is safe. Bringing charities together online
In this corona period, Samen voor Eindhoven organizes online training sessions (webinars) for local charities - which work for refugees, lonely elderly, homeless people, people with disabilities, psychiatric clients and for a better environment. Esther Hofstede: "During a webinar, in cooperation with the Poverty Fund and the DELA Fund, we talked about how social organizations can get extra income through funds, especially now. It was a well-attended webinar with enthusiastic reactions. For example, social organizations come up with new ideas and opportunities.
