What can you do for Ukraine?

Many Ukrainians have fled the war in their country. They leave hearth and home and, in many cases, family behind. Eindhoven and the people of Eindhoven are ready to offer help and shelter to the refugees coming to the Netherlands. In the short term, the Municipality of Eindhoven is going to accommodate 750 refugees in regular locations.

The people of Eindhoven and the business community in Brainport are ready to offer help and shelter to the Ukrainians coming to our region. Heartwarming! Together for Eindhoven does the central coordination of corporate volunteers, on behalf of the companies affiliated with Partnerfonds Brainport, Impact040 and the companies from our own network. This means that we join hands with all corporate volunteers in the region to respond as well as possible to the questions and wishes of the organizations working for refugees from Ukraine.

Former Rabobank building becomes emergency shelter for refugees

'Dear Esther, I am writing you during very hard times. Our country is suffering from war and our army bravely fights for our independence. In this situation East Europe Foundation is actively involved....I will get back to you as soon as I have feedback from my colleagues (due to war circumstances our connection is not stable at the moment).'

Donate for Ukraine

You can support the East Europe Foundation by donating. Any amount is welcome. Your donation will go directly to the foundation and will benefit locally, which is much needed. The people in Kiev are grateful for, as they wrote to us: 'the enormous support'. Thank you for your donation .

Awesome clothing store for refugees

A communcation team from DLL put their skills to work for clothing exchange studio #Awesome from Eindhoven. Awesome is setting up a temporary clothing store at Strijp S where Ukrainians can pick out clothes free of charge. At Strijp S the refugees stay for a few days and often had to flee with only a small rolling suitcase. The DLL professionals created communication tools (including signing in multiple languages) for this clothing store in one afternoon.

'Brainstorming and creating signage for the #Awesome POP-UP STORE location at Strijp S: "As a team we made it possible to create what was necessary in a few hours. It was interesting to get to learn about the good work of Kledingruilatelier Awesome; glad we could help them with some of their communication materials. We look forward to visiting the POP-UP store; an Awesome initiative!

'I thought it was super fun how together, so with the question of #Awesome and the practical implementation of DLL, we arrived at useful results for the #Awesome pop-up clothing store that is coming to Strijp S especially for refugees from Ukraine. Do volunteer work

The first refugees have already arrived and accommodated in the Eindhoven region. This influx of people is increasing. Eindhoven and the people of Eindhoven are ready to offer help and shelter to the Ukrainians coming to the Netherlands. Heartwarming! To get an overview of all the help initiatives that arise in our city, the municipality of Eindhoven has set up a mail address (oekraine@eindhoven.nl) where city residents and organizations can report their initiative. You can also call a special phone number: 040-2382037. This way municipality Eindhoven links initiators to each other or to refugees (or to refer them to known aid organizations). Read more here.
