The Impact Team at Eindhoven Airport 

You can help people in your community in many ways. Whether it's doing chores for a community organization or a fellow human being or volunteering to help the elderly or refugees. Doing small things for another often has a lot of impact. Not only for the person you are helping but also for yourself.

This engaged team walked the KDET street tour with city guides (former homeless people) from the Experience that State Foundation. What touched Sylvia, Mieke, Anja and Tessa?

"We, from the Impact team at Eindhoven Airport, are committed to 'matching' our colleagues with social organizations to do volunteer work. Our colleagues can commit 16 hours per year as corporate volunteers and in addition, we like to be active as corporate volunteers ourselves. We do this with great passion and pleasure. And we also see this reflected in our colleagues. One colleague recently recounted with emotion how her walk with an elderly lady had been. Another colleague enthusiastically shared how he had helped someone find a job through A Buddy Works! With the Impact Team we did the streettour, given by two guides (ex-homeless people). In all openness they shared their personal and impressive story and told about life on the streets. Stories that touched and made us realize even more that offering help to another through knowledge, heart and/or hands is of enormous importance."
