Customer speaks: Rabobank Eindhoven-Veldhoven

As a founder of Together for Eindhoven, Rabobank Eindhoven-Veldhoven is pleased to join the ONE DAY for Eindhoven campaign. A large number of our employees give one day a year to the Eindhoven region. They do this by giving guest lectures on financial self-reliance, providing job application training or organizing an outing with, for example, refugees or elderly people as part of a team building activity. This fits perfectly with Rabobank's 'Share in Each Other' idea."

Animal Kingdom

Monique Smits, Insurance Team Leader: "From the business department, we went on a trip to Dierenrijk Europa and Strijp S with elderly people as part of Together for Eindhoven. The purpose of this day was to connect with each other. Both to meet each other as colleagues in a different setting and the contact with the elderly. The Animal Kingdom experience went very smoothly, the bus driver knew all the elderly people by name and wheelchair and the sun was also shining all day. The elderly visibly enjoyed the beautiful day, which we ended with a cup of coffee and apple pie.

Strijp-S

At Strijp S, a little more was expected of colleagues. The elderly were mildly demented and needed all the attention they could get. Nice was the meeting between a couple from a separate ward each. They saw each other again, looked at each other sweetly and laid their hands on each other as a way of greeting. It was touching. The tour also brought out a lot of recognition and accompanying stories. All in all, we were able to make a nice contribution with Together for Eindhoven."
