Our committed partners (businesses and community organizations) will gather at the annual Partner Event, this year on Monday, June 29 (1:30-17:00). This is what you want to experience: inspiring speakers, workshops and encounters. Dr. Lonneke Roza of Erasmus University explains how to give more meaning to (corporate) volunteering programs. Dorien Sauer, Happy People Manager Rabobank, explains how volunteering contributes to higher employee involvement(engagement scores) and 'Happy People' at Rabobank. Together we will discover how to turn volunteers into fans. And you will meet other enthusiastic change agents who -just like you- make the difference for Eindhoven and its surroundings. In short: an inspiring event!

Attend these workshops on June 29:

  • Making corporate volunteering programs more meaningful is how you do it
Dr. Lonneke Roza of Erasmus University explains in this workshop how to give more meaning to (corporate) volunteering programs. Do you want to deepen the social impact you have with your (employee) volunteering program? Do you want to create more impact than just on the target group and for the company, but also to create real change in the employee himself?

In this workshop we work on giving more meaning to an (employee) volunteering program by encouraging the social impact it creates through the volunteer. Through a unique volunteering experience, people not only develop a greater understanding of a particular target group, global goal (SDG) or social issue, but-if you organize it well-they can actually change their own perceptions and even their behavior; both in the workplace and privately.

Lonneke Roza will briefly present a framework for this based on scientific insights and then participants will work together to get ideas on how to embed this in their own programs to create more social impact.

Dr. Lonneke Roza is Assistant Professor at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and specializes in (employee engagement in) Corporate Social Engagement (MBO). She has researched how MBO contributes to HR objectives and what impact it has on the employee, and the (target group and employees of the) social organization. At the university, Lonneke teaches Corporate Citizenship, Corporate Social Investments and Social Entrepreneurship, among others; about initiatives where social impact should always come first.

  • How to make fans of your (corporate) volunteers
As a social organization you want companies to come back. That they understand your target group and the social issue you are so passionately committed to.
After this best practice workshop of Nicolle Prins and Judith Helderman, intermediaries in Corporate Involvement at Samen voor Eindhoven, you will turn your volunteers into fans! Doing good makes you happy
