Warm a heart: give a coat
People living in a crisis situation do not have it easy in winter. More and more people in the Netherlands are living below the poverty line. With the 7th edition of the 'warm a heart & give a coat' campaign, the power of Brainport is visible again. As a partner of Brainport for each other, we are there for each other in Brainport Eindhoven.
From October 2 to 20, 2023 we collected warm men's, women's and children's coats in various locations in the Brainport region for people who desperately need warmth and a coat. Families with money worries, young newcomers, homeless people, people living in poverty and for whom buying a warm winter coat is not a given receive the coats in the last week of October.
On Tuesday, October 24, we distributed all 2,300 collected coats to local foundations: : #Awesome Ruilatelier, Clothing Bank Eindhoven, Salvation Army, Network Good People, Social Solidarity Foundation, Living Room for Refugees, Inloophuis 't Hemeltje, Neos, Dress for Success, Clothing attic and the surplus of these coats took over thrift store Karoesell to add to their used winter collection. This way it ends up fast and local and we make Brainport Eindhoven region winterproof.
High Tech Campus, Vrijwillige Hulpdienst Eindhoven, DAF, Hotel Pullman Eindhoven, NXP, ASML, VDL, Eindhoven Airport, DELA, DLL, Treffina, ISE (international school Eindhoven), Strijp-T, Quercis and Woonbedrijf collected warm coats.
